Cherries are fun to eat. They make us feel good. When things turn out better than we hoped they would, or when something exceeds our expectations, those extras are "the cherries on top". When life is good and we're really happy, "Life is just a bowl of cherries."

Quality Control

The Diana Fruit Company manufacturing facilities, raw product origination and finished product processing conform to all federal regulations within the meaning of the U.S. federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938 and amendments, thereto including Good Manufacturing Practices, 21 CFR Part 110. Drained, filled and net weights comply with Federal, State and local weight and measures standards. Processing conforms to Kosher and Halal standards.
The Company has in place a HACCP program encompassing all aspects of the manufacturing process. This program includes a traceability and recall program. Each jar is coded with a “Manufactured Date” and code designating type of product and size of cherry. Shipping cartons are labeled with brand, product type, cherry size, jar code and customer-requested information.

Maraschino Cherries with stems, without stems and/or halves products are made from mature, well-formed, clean and sound, U.S. No. 1 sweet cherries (Prunus avium). Cherries are stabilized and firmed in sulfur dioxide and calcium salts-based brine prior to processing. Processing includes some or all these steps: inspecting, cleaning, sorting by size, bleaching, pitting, slicing, coloring, sweetening and flavoring. Finished products are packed in flavored (filtered) syrup in wide mouth jars.
